Comprehensive diagnosis and Tx planning of all surgical, prosthetic and aesthetic Tx options

Managing complexities of aesthetics and dental implants, including complications and failures

Advanced hard and soft tissue techniques and applications

Using risk-based diagnosis, facially generated treatment planning and principle based surgical, prosthetic principles
and protocol, to minimize the risk and increase the long-term prognosis

*Note: Participation by the clinical and/or administrative clinical partners is strongly encouraged in order to maximize the learning value of the course.
“Inspired by dreams, driven by passion, engineered by the course participants.”
The goal of this course is to develop the skills and confidence to integrate dental implants and related surgical and restorative procedures in a systematic manner and apply them to complex cases.
All course participants are encouraged to bring a patient to treat surgically. Each participant's surgical case will be presented to the entire group prior to the surgical treatment and reviewed following the surgery. Each case is presented and reviewed with photographic and radiographic documentation, including CT scans, practical and didactic information will be provided by Dr. Norm Ickert.
All participants must have completed Dental Implant I and II, or the equivalent. There will be a great deal of learning not only from the presentation and surgical treatment of each participant, but also from the presentation, interaction, experiences, skills, and tips from each participant. Due to the small class size, the environment is conducive to "exponential" learning.
There will a combination of valuable didactic information, demo surgeries, relevant and practical lab exercises, case presentations, as well as the patient treatment for each participant (on your own patient).
The latest dental technology will be combined with sound biological and physical principles to assess the risk and reverse engineer the treatment plan. The goal is to use the newly learned skills to actually treat complex cases, lowering the risk, and increasing the long-term prognosis.
The focus will be to present several surgical and prosthodontic techniques and tips, which will enable the restorative/surgical implant/aesthetic dentist to achieve excellent, predictable results.
The key is to diagnose these complex cases in a comprehensive risk-based systemized manner, leading to facially generated Treatment Planning (Reverse Engineering), as well as understanding the impact of Aesthetics and Function (Occlusion). The ultimate objective is to gain the skills to confidently provide the necessary treatment, which minimizes the risk and increases the long-term prognosis.
The main aspiration of Dental Implant III is to help all of us understand how dental implants can be predictably incorporated into this philosophy, as well as acquiring the skills needed to immediately implement this in a very practical and safe manner.
The first eight participants to register for the course will be given the opportunity for a surgical time. Case documentation must be submitted to Dr. Norm Ickert no later than three weeks prior to the course date. Documentation for the live surgery should follow the template available upon registration and should ideally include a CT scan and/or panoramic radiograph, models, photos, as well as patient medical and dental history.
